Using
a simple combo of basic cosmetics to contour your face
can help create a beautiful new look you have yet to
dream of. As a general rule of thumb, contouring shouldn't
mean caking layers upon layers, so that you will not
look overdone.
If
you are concerned about looking like you are wearing
too much makeup, leave your contour experiments for
evening at first, until you are confident enough in
your blending skills. Before you actually contour your
face, it is necessary that you get familiar with your
face shape. Once you understand your natural shape,
you can contour and highlight your face to balance things
out and make improvements where you feel they are necessary.
Since each face shape is unique, you should use contouring
to camouflage your flaws and blemishes and show off
your best features instead. If you are having trouble
figuring out where exactly to apply the contouring,
suck your cheeks in and look in the mirror for the best
places to apply it.
For
best results, use a darker powder than the colour of
your skin. Contouring, shading and highlighting are
some of the more advanced makeup weapons you can use
to re-shape your face. It is just like sculpting with
makeup!
With
a bit of practice and some simple rules, you can create
the illusion of cheekbones, cover imperfections, and
play up your best features. The MOST important rule
of any corrective makeup is to blend, Blend, BLEND! |
